You have all heard the saying, “Happy wife, happy life”, right? Yeah, we don’t follow that.

We use “Happy spouse, happy house”. Chris and I are a team. Both of our feelings matter. Both of us deserve to be happy. Together.

We both put in the effort for our marriage, raising our kids, and keeping our house going. We are far from perfect, but we put our relationship first. We have regular date nights. We enjoy doing all the small things, like running errands, grocery shopping, going to kids’ practices.

One day, our kids will be grown and living their own lives. When this happens, I am happy to know that I enjoy my husband’s company. I enjoy living my life with him and sharing hobbies. I enjoy running to Kroger or Aldi with him. He needs to drop off a package for UPS? Heck yeah, I’ll ride with and keep him company. I enjoy it all.

Also, we hope to set a good example of marriage for our kids. We want them to marry their best friend and be happy. We want them to have fun and love their spouses.

Chris is the one I count on. He’s the one holding me when I’m overwhelmed. He’s the one I share news with first. I go to him for everything. I never want our marriage and lives to be based on my happiness alone. This is not just my life, it’s OURS.
