Joe Skeen is one of our favorite free campgrounds thanks to the quiet area and beautiful landscape. We were lucky to nab the last of about a dozen spots on this BLM area.
Camping on The Wall
The Wall is sort of infamous with the boondocking crowd. It’s a cliff that overlooks the South Dakota Badlands. We stayed there amidst the cows on our way to see Crazy Horse and Mount Rushmore.
Running Turkeys
That’s what M calls Turkey Run State Park. It is one of Indiana’s most visited and best known state parks. It’s a favorite hiking location for our family as well.
Swinging Bridge on the Toccoa River
A kind lady in a local antique shop suggested that visit a swinging bridge. Well, okay, why not?
Morganton Point, Georgia
Morganton Point Campground sits on the shore of Blue Ridge Lake in the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest.
