We have a blended family. Sometimes, holidays just get a little chaotic figuring out what child is going where and when, as well as figuring out when we will celebrate as a family, with our extended families. This year, we’re trying something different: Thanksgiving Breakfast.
You read that correctly. Thanksgiving Breakfast.
Every year, there’s late lunches and there’s dinners. People try cramming 4 meals in during the afternoon. Meanwhile, the morning is left wide open. Nobody has done breakfast. So, we’re going for it. The kids have all given us their requests for food, so we’ll add a Thanksgiving twist to some of them. C wants cinnamon rolls, we can make some pumpkin cinnamon rolls. K wants crepes. How about trying cranberry crepes?
While turkey, stuffing, potatoes, etc. are all delicious, our priority is spending quality time with our kids.
It doesn’t matter what food is on our plates, but who is with us.
